Job Summary The Escort Driver is responsible for driving a vehicle that is equipped with warning lights and signs to escort trucks hauling heavy euipment. Essential Functions Drives vehicle that warns other motorists of oversized loads. Helps to load heavy equipment onto trailer and ensures that the equipment is secure Performs safety inspections before each trip. Communicates with the OTR driver about changes in the route and speed, traffic congestion, and road hazards. Ensures that the Company vehicle is clean on the inside and outside. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must maintain a valid driver license and acceptable driving record. Must have 3+ years of no major driving violations. Knowlege of basic driving rules and regulations. Must be able to perform all aspects of the position.
