SR. RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST - PILOT PLANT OPERATIONS

Objectives of this Role :
Lead shifts and operations to successfully and safely operate pilot plants.
Responsible for and overseeing all the operations team (including inexperienced engineers), they will report to the project engineer or project manager.
Develop quality data for process design and development, Responsible for implanting and maintaining safety programs for pilot units.
Maintain good project records, logbooks and procedures.
Directly report to management and clients with regard to pilot plant operations.
Support pilot plant operations in many different technology areas, from renewable fuels to carbon capture.
Maintain and support a safety and operating culture consistent with previously successfully operated pilot plants.
Prepare documentation and operating plans for pilot plant operations; setup all things for operations, review P&IDs, conduct engineering change records (ECRs), upload and evaluate process data, troubleshoot operations ).
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities :
Plant commissioning, startup, shutdown, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Follow operating policies and procedures for safe and efficient operations.
Perform plant rounds and develop safe operating procedures.
Troubleshoot and develop engineering change records, job safety analysis, work orders, etc.
Train staff and conduct board operations and data collections.
Work with pilot plant design and fabrication teams to develop new and improved process designs.
Requirements :
Requires an Associates in Chemical Technology, Process Technology, or Operations Technology or directly related with related experience
Shift work required
10-15 years : Experience with plant operations, maintenance, and experience working with teams (supervising and / or training)
A valid / clear driver's license is required
