Compensation : DOE. Employment type : Full-time. Job Title : Electric Sign Assembler. Sign Assembler : This position will work in conjunction with the Production Team in the assembly of signs. Assembler Job Responsibilities : Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies. Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions. Soldering, led assembly wiring, and packaging. Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists. Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts. Understand and comply with UL rules pertaining to the job being worked Conduct quality control checks. Qualifications : Be able to lift up to 50lbs. Be able to read and understand Shop Travelers and follow verbal instructions. Be able to meet production demands. Be able to work independently. MAJOR FUNCTION : Member of the Production Team reports directly to the Metal Supervisor. Metal team fabricates signs per customer specifications and internal quality standards. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES : This position will work in conjunction with the Production Team in the fabrication of signs : Upon receiving an order from Metal Team lead, reviews order and confirms material is available. Time efficiency in fabrication in reviewing estimated hours vs actual hours on all jobs. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Understand and utilize all equipment and machinery in department. Confirm material noted includes rework and accurate material used. Effectively manage time and priorities to meet deadlines. Demonstrate good work ethic and working relationship with co-workers. Reference MDSD sheets as necessary to fully understand product interactions. Complete familiarity and consistent use of proper safety equipment. Maintain work area and tools in a clean and safe manner. Maintain adequate inventory levels and alert supervisor when low to avoid interruption of workflow. Attend monthly safety meetings as required of production staff. Any other job duties as needed by Metal Supervisor. JOB COMPONENTS : Accept responsibility for assigned projects and share responsibility with team for successful project completion and customer satisfaction. SKILLS REQUIRED : Knowledge of all aspects of sign manufacture. Welding Certification. Brake forming. Welding. Electrical wiring. Trained in electrical safety, lockout tagout, fire prevention, tool, and general shop safety, MSDS, Chemical Hazmat. Must be able to perform basic math and understand weights and measures. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Customer and Team orientated. Effective listening, ability to receive detailed information through verbal communication. WORKING CONDITIONS : Work is performed largely in a production environment with routine exposure to dirt, noise, temperature variance, chemicals, and solvents. Deadline pressure is an integral part of the job. Work hours vary. Overtime is expected when needed to meet deadlines. Most of the workday is spent standing.
