Position Summary :
Penske Logistics is looking for delivery helpers that will assist delivery drivers in moving product from the back of a truck to our customer’s location.
Pay : $18.19 / hr

Specific Activity Helpers are responsible for delivering product to customers. Helper will unload at each stop, typically using a hand truck.
May involve moving and rearranging freight at each stop. Helper must be able to handle moving approximately 150 - 200 pounds on a hand truck.
Helpers are responsible for breaking down pallets and moving product into the store at multiple stops. Helpers are required to deliver cold product (dairy) and ambient (paper and other products) into each store.
Some stores are open during delivery.
Shift - Typical start time is 1 : 00 PM. End time depends on number of stops on each route. Days will be discussed as this is a 24 / 7 operation, however, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities :
Assist delivery driver with the loading, and unloading of products up to 50lbs / 23kg and frequently lift and / or move up to 100lbs / 45kg with assistance of another individual.
Will interact in a professional and courteous manner with customers
Read bills of lading and identify product, collect necessary delivery receipts as necessary
May assist in providing navigational assistance to the driver
Qualifications :
Prior customer service experience, interacting directly with customers, required
Prior warehouse or dock experience preferred
Prior delivery assistance experience preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments required

Receive and store parts in an organized and easily accessible manner. Ensure that updates to PartsNet occur timely, complete frequent inventory cycle counts and ensure parts are available when needed.
Manage the new & used battery inventory and ensure that tires are on hand in the right quantity and specifications in an organized manner.
Ensure warranty items are shipped and are received on time, as well as follow-up on returns and warranty-grams in partnership with the warranty department.
Process Analytics
Perform process analyses and reviews in areas such as Inventory, maintenance profitability, warranty campaigns, cycle counts, RO reviews and other areas.
Investigate and recommend solutions and / or guidance to issues posing a risk to the drivers of profitability.
Use systems such as ServiceNet or AS400 to understand the operational dynamics for problem solving and process improvement.

Truck Driver - Hiker / Vehicle Transporter / CDL - Part Time ( Job Number : 2311795 )
Position Summary :
Penske Truck Leasing seeks highly motivated and qualified applicants to fill the unique position of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter / Truck Driver).
This position is responsible for vehicle delivery and returning vehicles to Penske locations and Penske customers. Primarily, this position moves our box trucks up to 26’ and for CDL Class A will include tractors and trailer movement.
Position may also provide assistance to the service department to deliver parts and equipment.
This is a casual / on-call part-time truck driving job that is perfect for licensed CDL Class B or CDL Class A drivers seeking supplemental income and looking to work anywhere from 0 to 25 hours a week based on business needs.
Major Responsibilities :
Follow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of Penske location or customer locations
Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are found
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications :
2 years of driving experience required
2 years of a clean DMV motor vehicle record required
CDL Class B license required
CDL Class A license preferred
Ability to read and follow written instructions is required.
Ability to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

The associate must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 50lbs / 23kg and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100lbs / 45kg.
The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter / exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
