We are looking for ambitious and energetic leaders to join our team at Momentum Spine and Joint - North Dallas as a full-time, Physician Assistant .
Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
Responsibilities :
Provide medical services to patients, inclusive of all functions necessary to provide medical care under the direction of the physician
Conducts comprehensive health assessments (initial, ongoing, discharge), identifies normal / abnormal health characteristics, develops plan of care, initiates appropriate interventions, and evaluates care outcomes on defined patient populations(s)
Performs delegated functions under physician supervision, such as differential diagnosis, use of prescriptive authority, and treatment according to practice guidelines, protocols, and / or standing orders.
Accepts accountability for outcomes in health care
Uses critical thinking skills and clinical judgement to work autonomously as defined by the Nurse Practice Act. Collaborates with the Physician and healthcare team members to manage / coordinate patient care
Record accurate consultation data in patients' records
Charting in the patient's medical record is routinely to be completed on the same day as the patient's visit
Instigate necessary invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests or investigations and interpret findings / reports
Provide safe, evidence-based, cost-effective, individualized patient care
Contribute to the practice achieving its quality targets to sustain the high standards of patient care and service delivery
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the practice
Follow all internal policies and procedures; be accountable for completion of all operational tasks according to departmental guidelines to ensure appropriate clinical processing / documentation
See patients in a timely and efficient manner, stay reasonably on time for scheduled appointments in practice throughout the day, unless exceptional circumstances occur
Maintains current licensure and credentials. Remains current in practice
Responds and comply to requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails
Report statistics as required
Protects patient and family privacy rights and maintains confidentiality of patient records in accordance to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
Follows all safety rules on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the work place
Travels as necessary to other facilities
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements :
Recognized by the Texas Medical Board as a Physician Assistant (PA)
Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
BLS, ACLS
Must have reliable transportation for traveling

Demonstrates Customer Service Standards (smiles and makes eye contact, greets each patient and visitor, seeks out patient and visitor contact, displays appropriate body language at all times, takes 5 minutes each day to go above and beyond for one patient or visitor, honor diversity and thanks each customer)
Works efficiently and completes tasks thoroughly to optimize patient flow while maintaining quality and patient / provider satisfaction
Escorts patient(s) to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and documents all information in patient's chart
Educates and may give directions to patient regarding medication and treatment plan as instructed by physician or physician assistant
Maintains patient charts ensuring all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients' medical records / file prior to their appointment.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of patients' forms
Call in for patient prescription refills
Keeps exam rooms clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies
Maintains and responds to e-mails, telephone calls and inquiries
Responds to and fulfills requests for information including sending faxes and e-mails
Other duties as assigned
Requirements :
High School diploma or equivalent
Bilingual; fluent in English and Spanish
Must have reliable transportation for traveling

Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Tuesday 8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM
Friday 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM
One Saturday a Month 7 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PM
