Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized testing and quality control, understands theory of most tests and troubleshoots common technical problems.
The successful candidate will be able to :
Accurately perform specimen receipt and processing and reference lab specimen processing as assigned
Monitor quality control and proficiency testing procedure to insure accuracy and quality of testing systems
Demonstrate safe and proper use, setup, and maintenance of equipment
Make independent, effective decisions regarding result interpretation and reporting
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
Associate’s degree required
Must have an MLT or MT Certification (ASCP Preferred)
Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professionalism displayed through sound judgement, initiative, and flexibility
Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills
Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly / productively, and tolerate interruptions
Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others
Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful situations
Demonstrate maturity and accountability
