Leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for their Orlando team!
Responsibilities :
Perform all aspects of design for HVAC for Healthcare, Commercial, Higher Education or Laboratory projects
Provide advanced heating / cooling load calculations with Trace / HAP
Identify sequences of operations for AHU's, CHW and HW systems
Develop sections / elevations of complex duct work and piping areas, equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases and air and water flows
Edit specifications
Assist with completing RFI’s for a project and review submittals
Deliver appropriate documentation using proper scope for SD, DD and CD level documents
Meet with contractors during bid phase to review design details
Requirements :
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of mechanical design experience
PE License
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time

Responsibilities :
Design mechanical systems for a variety of building sectors (Laboratories, Higher Education, K-12, Justice / Civic, Retail, Workplace and Energy)
Collaborate with other disciplines
Engineer of Record responsibilities / lead design of complex mechanical systems
Produce high-quality construction documents using Revit
Manage project schedules
Perform mechanical calculations including code research
Write / review specifications
Prepare detailed engineering reports / narratives
Review shop drawings, RFIs and submittals
Conduct site visits if needed
Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
6+ years of experience working on commercial / public projects
Mechanical Engineering experience designing HVAC, plumbing and fire protection building systems
Experience with specification writing, construction administration, scheduling and management of multiple projects
Licensed Mechanical Engineer with ability to get reciprocity in state of project
Working knowledge of Mechanical software such as Trane Trace, IES-VE or similar load software
Proficient with Autodesk Revit MEP
LEED Accredited Professional with experience participating in LEED projects preferred
ASHRAE, ASME membership preferred

Responsibilities :
Provide team leadership in environmental studies, permitting and / or siting studies
Lead transmission line siting investigation tasks
Prepare siting documentation for regulatory review
Provide task leadership for siting, permitting, and documentation efforts related to environmental resources for electric transmission projects
Report to project manager
Coordinate project with clients and regulatory agencies
Coordinate environmental field surveys (wetland / stream delineations, endangered species surveys, environmental inspections, compliance monitoring)
Prepare proposals, cost estimating, and quality control reviews
Provide status / progress reports to customers, project teams, and management
Coordinate implementation / compliance with safety protocols / procedures
Requirements :
A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Planning, Environmental Studies, Environmental and Earth Science, or a related field
5+ years of experience
Requires travel, including overnight, through mid-Atlantic and Midwest
