About the Job Dishwashers and barbacks are the heroes of the kitchen and cafe. In this role you will provide crucial support for our Cafe Team and our Kitchen Team. You will wash dishes, provide timely restocking of goods, run food, bus tables, and anticipate the needs of our customers and your coworkers. Though not an explicitly customer facing role, everyone in our stores is responsible for ensuring a quality experience. We are looking to hire a part-time dishwasher that will work 2-3 days per week. Essential Functions Demonstrate a complete understanding of G&B / GGET values and standards, including the 10 Principles of Service, as outlined in company training documents Efficiently and safely wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware and utensils according to LA County Health Department Be positive and honest Bus tables Restock dishes, glassware, and goods Contribute to team success by supporting your coworkers and helping guests Confidently operate job-related instruments and tools, such as : Mechanical dishwasher Three-compartment sink Maintain a clean foodservice environment through constant, vigilant cleaning Use of broom and mop to clean floors Experiential Prerequisites Experience in food service support, such as dishwashing, food running, or barbacking Current CA Food Handler Certificate Other Required skills and abilities Ability to understand instructions Ability to hustle Ability to work as a team and self-direct Ability to anticipate the needs of coworkers and guests Availability for weekend days and overall schedule flexibility Reliable transportation and ability to show up to each shift on time and ready to work Physical Requirements Move about the kitchen and cafe environment frequently throughout shifts Repetitive manual cleaning motions Position self to perform regular cleaning tasks Communicate with Cafe Team staff and customers Frequently move items, weighting up to 40 lbs through the café environment Exposure to hot surfaces We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles’ Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
