We offer independent and assisted living, and are known for our excellent food and dining experiences. THINGS YOU WILL LOVE ABOUT THIS JOB : Beautiful working environment Having a relationship with residents Variety of work experiences, including special events JOB DUTIES INCLUDE : Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen Assist Executive Chef with menu and recipe development Assist in the receiving, rotation and storage of products Identify and report food / supply needs Ensure that all staff follow sanitation / infection control regulations, and help train and coach them in garnishing, presentation and other culinary skills Prepare salads, soups, and entrées with care and quality Assist in nightly clean up and labeling QUALIFICATIONS : Scratch cooking experience ( because all dishes are freshly prepared-to-order) , preferably including restaurant, private club or retirement community ServSafe sanitation certification required Flexibility : able and willing to modify his / her schedule to help cover vacations and help with special events Experience in all areas of the commercial kitchen operation Comfortable working in fast-paced environment Reads, writes, speaks and understands the English language Knowledge of special event catering is a plus WORK SCHEDULE : 11 : 00 am 7 : 00 pm Franklin Park Sonterra is located at 18323 Sonterra Place, on the north side of Loop 1604 between Blanco and Stone Oak Parkway. Responsible to perform all aspects of cleaning the community common areas and resident rooms or apartments ensuring a pleasing home-like environment for residents, employees and visitors Things you will love about this job : Being part of a great team Work that keeps you physically fit The beautiful and well-maintained working environment Duties include : Cleans all Common Areas including the lobby, guest restrooms and hallways. Vacuums all carpeted areas and upholstered furniture Dusts all furniture, hanging pictures and fixtures Sanitizes handrails Cleans glass surfaces Cleans doors, doorways and walls Cleans and disinfects common areas and restrooms Mops or vacuums common areas Cleans and disinfects soiled utility bins Cleans and organizes laundry areas and storage closets Ensure that the housekeeping cart and other supplies and equipment are in a safe area as to prevent any injuries to residents, employees, or visitors Ensure that hazardous cleaning products are properly stored and labeled Cleans resident’s rooms or apartments by vacuuming, dusting and disinfecting bathroom Launders resident’s linens, towels, sheets, and other items according to schedule and as needed Ensures residents’ personal clothing remain separate at all times and are returned promptly to the residents’ room or apartment once laundered Properly dispose of soiled clothing or linens in accordance with infection control standards Be constantly alert to wipe up any water or liquid on the floors to prevent slips and falls by residents, employees or visitors Establishes and maintains good relationships with residents and family members Practices proper body mechanics when lifting and following safety guidelines Follows company guidelines for uniforms and name badges Uses company provided equipment properly as intended Encourages teamwork and promotes company philosophy Attends required community meetings Is prompt and able to perform the required duties of the position on a regular, predictable basis Becomes familiar and understands the steps for fire evacuation All employees are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all community residents Franklin Park Sonterra is located at 18323 Sonterra Place, on the north side of Loop 1604, just east of Blanco Rd.
