Overview
We are seeking a professional, customer-service oriented Security Officer to be part of our Christian Care Family. We are looking for a responsible individual to respond to our seniors' needs while preserving their dignity and quality of life.
This is a part time position that involves high levels of customer service in a senior housing community. It offers an excellent opportunity to the customer service minded experienced Security Officer.
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee resident safety and act as a deterrent to crime. As a Security Officer, you will respond to all resident emergency calls, observe, and report any unusual activities throughout the property.
You will enforce the policies and rules set forth by Christian Care and protect all residents' rights within the framework of Federal, State, and Local laws.
To carry out these ideals within the law and the rules of this institution, you will have the power to act as your professional judgment requires.
This role also serves to assist maintenance in assessing after-hours emergency calls.

Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and secure environment of the company's property
Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
Act lawfully in response to unusual or suspicious persons or activity on the property
Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences, reporting in detail any suspicious incidents
Patrol randomly or regularly buildings and perimeter
Monitor and control access to building entrances and gates
Perform data entry
Answer phones and direct calls accordingly
Contact emergency services as needed
Perform various minor maintenance services as needed
Qualifications
HS diploma or equivalent required
Valid AZ driver's license required
Current CPR / 1st Aid certification and fingerprint clearance card required or ability to acquire within first 30 days of employment
Minimum of one-year experience as a public safety officer or related field required
Additional skills required include great observation, good judgment, common sense, and excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
Strong customer service skills and computer experience a must

Job Description :
The purpose of this position is to provide an outstanding fine dining room experience for residents and guests while keeping in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures as may be directed by the Dining Room Manager, Food Service Director, or Executive Director.
Responsibilities
Set up dining room tables for meal service and other related events.
Take residents' / guests' orders and serve them promptly.
Follow regulations for safe handling of food and service items.
Clear tables after meal service. Wash down tables and chairs.
Effectively communicate with the Dining Room Manager, fellow servers, and kitchen staff to ensure proper food service experience.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year experience required, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
Understand table service etiquette.
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
Must be trainable.
Ability to communicate with and relate well to the elderly population, the public, and staff courteously and diplomatically under all circumstances.
Have good communication skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to hear and interpret various noises / sounds, including background noises / sounds.
Must be enthusiastic, bubbly, personable, energetic and positive.
