Our client is seeking a Data Governance Analyst , skilled in data management and governance from a technical perspective, to join their team. The main objective of this role is to create and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework within their application and business units. The aim is to establish and enforce data policies, standards, and practices that ensure consistency, quality, and protection of data in line with company goals. The primary focus of the program is to safeguard the Company's and its clients' data by implementing an enterprise data governance program. RESPONSIBILITIES Data Governance Assist with the creation and documentation of data governance standards Assist with the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise Assist with the development & maintenance of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems and owners Market and communicate data governance program in a way that achieves maximum buy in with key stakeholders and Senior Management Maintain and modify data governance program to align with industry best practices and Company requirements Monitor and enforce compliance to data governance standards Provide guidance to product management in regards to PII and data governance Audit systems to ensure that implementation guidelines were followed prior to release in production Documentation : Document and maintain data governance standards and processes Risk evaluation and guidance for product design Miscellaneous : Actively seeks to expand individual skills through research, training, and collaboration with peers Attends meetings and serves on committees, as requested Performs additional duties and assignments as requested QUALIFICATIONS Education / Certification : Bachelors Degree required, MIS degree and Data Analytics preferred IAPP, CIPP a plus but not required Experience : 5+ years of data management and governance experience Understanding of IT systems management Database knowledge of stored data, including structured data (SQL database) and unstructured data (Confluence and Jira.)
