Overview
Prepares for and assists with clinics, including setting up equipment and supplies for examinations, scheduling and greeting patients, obtaining and recording basic client data, and performing related clerical work to assist in the operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities
Prepares examination rooms, including cleaning and sanitizing the room and equipment, obtaining patient charts, and emptying trash
Greets, directs, and assists clinic patients
Performs routine patient tests and measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urine tests
Answers routine questions from patients and hands out literature as appropriate
Completes laboratory slips according to directions and take to proper laboratory
Contacts and reschedules patients who have missed appointments
Makes entries in patient records, as appropriate
Keeps track of and orders supplies
Completes and files various forms and records. If bilingual, acts as interpreter as needed
May be asked to perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requires a High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of two (2) years of experience
A combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered
A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Basis of Rating
Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and / or license / certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
