We are seeking a professional full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our physician offices located in Tucson, AZ. This position creates a positive first and last impression for the practice and is pivotal to the practice running smoothly and efficiently as possible.
The hours are Monday - Friday and will vary from 8 : 00AM- 4 : 30PM.
Front Desk Receptionist Responsibilities :
Greeting our patients and directing the flow of the facility including the office and surgical practice area.
Schedule appointments and assists with the scheduling of any additional testing directed by the physician.
Ensure that all required referrals are obtained, scanned into the EMR and linked to that day’s appointment within Practice Management.
Enters patient demographics in system
Scheduling follow up procedures and coordinating any local ASC cases.
Collects co-pays and past balances at time of check-in and enters into the batch for the day
Assist patients with the completion of the Phreesia registration system.
As part of your positions requirements, you are expected to travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region
Perform other office duties as assigned by manager.

Medical Assistant

We are seeking a professional full-time Medical Assistant for our physician offices located in Tucson, AZ. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support to the physicians in the office.
The hours are Monday - Friday and will vary from 7 : 30AM- 5 : 00PM. (No Weekends or Holidays)
Medical Assistant - MA Responsibilities :
Prepares exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care daily, including stocking of all necessary supplies.
Escorts patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens; performing dip and automated urinalysis and microscopic preparation and review when indicated.
Assists physician with the preparation / administration of Lupron, BCG, Eligard, Vantas, Viadur, and Mitomycin; assist / perform with office-based procedures (phlebotomy, bladder scan, urethral dilations, catheterization) as requested.
Triage patient calls for pharmacy requests, test results, medical questions, and concerns as directed by the physician;
documenting outcomes in EHR.
Assists in the maintenance of all logs and records for OSHA / MOSHA.
Adheres to and follows sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility.
Adheres to bio-hazardous or red bag waste policy and procedure for proper disposal of biomedical waste.

Colorado Urology is the region’s premier urology practice with 20 urologists and 2 radiation oncologists serving patients at 13 medical offices, radiation cancer therapy centers, and ambulatory surgical centers throughout the greater Denver and Boulder areas, including Aurora, Lone Tree / Park Meadows, Lakewood, and Superior.

Advanced Practice Provider Responsibilities :
Evaluates patient reviewing medical history and performing an appropriate physical exam in the in-patient and out-patient setting.
Interprets and evaluates patient data as authorized by a physician for the purpose of determining management and treatment of patients.
Consult with physician as appropriate.
Adjusts patient care plan by reviewing and monitoring treatments and therapy plans.
Administers or orders laboratory, radiological and diagnostic tests that will assist with the medical management; explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipates effects of treatments, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
Performs daily rounds at privileged hospitals independently or with attending physicians.
Prescribes, recommends, and regulates appropriate pharmacologic medicine.
Documents appropriately and communicates with the appropriate physician in a timely manner as required, including, but not limited to : evaluations, treatment plans, progress reports, billing documentation, treatment notes, and other reports as requested.

Advanced Practice Provider Qualifications
Advanced Practice Provider Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Science.
Certification required as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Certification in Urological Procedures (ie : cystoscopy) preferred.
Licensure as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the state of Colorado.
Minimum of one-year experience as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
Urology or Surgical experience preferred but not essential.
Current ACLS, BLS and CPR certification required.
