Develop Assembly process systems aligned to standard Bill of Process strategies through enquiry, procurement, simultaneous engineering, build, installation, and commissioning phases. Work with project team assigned to the component / process (includes controls, productivity, layout, IT, material handling, and suppliers) to develop full assembly process including auto station designs and workstation & material flow layouts Resolve manufacturing concerns and feasibility issues within the Component Program Module Team (CPMT), by reviewing product drawings, determine manufacturing and communicate gaps to product development team Drive Investment Efficiency process with Product Development and suppliers. Develop quality documentation such as SCCAF, Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans (DCP). Assume timing and financial responsibility for respective program content. Develop Make Like Production (MLP) plan, tryout part coordination and runoff strategy. Participate in Virtual Manufacturing Builds / MA Event input & support (including deviation process & open issue resolution). Build and maintain process documentation (e.g. process illustrations, tool layouts, cycle charts, etc.). Responsible for equipment procurement and lead Machine Acceptance (equipment verification, MIDAS) and issue resolution. Collaborate with plant personnel and skilled trades to plan equipment installations and development prove out plans the ensure equipment is ready for production Have a proven record of problem solving and appropriate use of error proofing devices and poke yokes. Be able to identify root cause, and development and implement ICA / PCA solutions Use machining monitoring data and system flow analysis to identify assembly system bottlenecks and develop reaction plans to address. Incorporate continuous improvements utilizing Continuous Improvement / Lessons Learned, Deviation and Decision Record Process. Equipment failures are also included in this position’s portfolio. These failures are urgent in nature with a very fast-paced timeline. There is also a possibility that small pole replacement projects could be included in the portfolio of this position. In all, this position manages the portfolio assigned through the established project process, but with a quicker paced approach. This position would benefit from having Transmission or utility experience, especially Substation project experience. This position is required to forecast monthly and annual project spend for each project within the portfolio and explain variances of their forecasts.
