Accurate physical receiving, staging and counting of materials / product in order to maintain integrity of inventory control and ensure delivery of materials / product to the proper department. Key responsibilities include : Receives product deliveries, confirms purchase order number and any other applicable information is on all paperwork Maintain weight records of incoming raw materials shipments. Notifies buyer and supervisor on differences Records and checks quantity and quality of goods received Inspect, accept, or reject inbound shipments Moves materials into storage units after shipment has been received Communicates and coordinates with appropriate buyer for product returns / repair Stages materials for production based on planned orders, pulling materials by FIFO making sure pathways are kept clear Move materials back to correct storage location after production returns left over materials, ensuring they are properly stored according to quality guidelines Physical count of raw materials and packaging Confirm stock of materials needed for upcoming process orders based on planner’s schedule Maintain and organize warehouse Performs other duties as assigned to by supervisor Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees Maintains safe work environment according to all department procedures, federal and state.
