Arcata Associates, Inc. (Arcata) is looking for a Security Guard to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. Position Summary : Responsible for performing Security Guard functions at AUTEC WPB facility in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets. Duties involve : Observe and report security and emergency situations. Inspects and controls access of materials into and out of facilities. Makes security checks of assigned facilities and areas. Monitors alarms and CC.TV's and takes appropriate action when necessary. Intervene directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons. Serve at a fixed post, making rounds on foot, or escorting persons or property. Maintains logs. Documents and investigates security incidents and accidents as required. Performs Pass and ID functions. Assist visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions. Maintain a level of continued physical fitness. Carry out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to appropriate authority. Will operate LENEL Monitoring system. Will use Microsoft Office products to update and create reports. Minimum Requirements : Must be a U.S citizen. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S government security clearance. High school diploma or GED required. At least two years of related experience required. Valid Driver's license required. Basic administrative, clerical and computer skills in a windows environment required. Must meet minimum physical standards which include the ability to perform normal or Emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing / walking / driving / jumping for extended periods of time.
